An Spidéal by the bay
An Spidéal gives the Galway Bay stretch a village starting point within the Connemara Gaeltacht. Use the current destination guide to choose a local visit, craft stop or meal. Check individual opening hours rather than arriving with an expectation that every workshop will be receiving visitors.
A Galway city stay
Galway city can change the rhythm of the trip. Choose somewhere that suits the things you want to do on foot, then leave the car where you are permitted to park it. Allow time for the streets and waterfront as well as a particular booking. For a short break, a city afternoon may be more satisfying than another long coastal drive.
On to Kinvara
Kinvara offers a further stop on the southern side of the bay before the journey reaches Clare. Look at the whole connection from your Galway base and decide how much of the day to spend there. A harbour-town visit works best when there is time to get out, look around and have something to eat.

Before you go
Check parking, transport and individual visitor openings. Galway Bay’s settlements are separate stops, with real travel time between them.
