Start with the Cork you want
A Cork city break and a few days on a western peninsula are different holidays. Decide which one you are looking for before choosing accommodation. Staying near the places you want to see leaves more time for an afternoon out and an evening meal, rather than another journey at either end of the day.
Follow the harbour history
In Cobh, Titanic Experience occupies the historic White Star Line building and follows the stories of passengers connected with the ship. Check the operator’s current visitor information and booking arrangements. It gives a harbour visit a subject to explore, with the town itself deserving time around the attraction.
Take your time in the west
Bantry, Skibbereen, Mizen Head and Beara are starting points for quite different West Cork trips. Pick one area and find a base there. Leave the evening free for a meal, checking menus and availability directly rather than building the trip around someone else’s ranking. The other peninsulas and towns will give you plenty of reasons to come back.
