Wexford: heritage at Ferrycarrig and a coastal break

Choose a history-led day or make the Hook Peninsula the centre of a longer county visit.

A day at the Heritage Park

The Irish National Heritage Park at Ferrycarrig offers an interpreted visit to Ireland’s past. Read the current visitor information and choose the experience that suits your group. Its reconstructions provide a way to explore questions about earlier lives; leave time for the interpretation as well as the buildings and settings.

Head for the Hook Peninsula

If the coast is the reason for coming to Wexford, give it a proper place in the trip. The Hook Peninsula is one of the areas introduced in the county tourism guide. Check individual attraction bookings and access arrangements before building the day around a lighthouse visit or another specific stop.

Give a town some time

Wexford town, Enniscorthy and New Ross are separate bases to consider, depending on the part of the county you want to explore. Look at meals, evening plans and travel connections alongside the accommodation. A town visit and a coastal outing can belong to the same break without competing for the same few hours.
