Begin at the Causeway
The Giant’s Causeway is an obvious first stop in Antrim, but it deserves more than a photograph before the next drive. The basalt shoreline is the attraction; the National Trust’s Visitor Experience adds interpretation and practical facilities. Read the booking information carefully so you know which experience you are choosing.
A day in the glens
For a different visit, turn your attention to the Glens of Antrim. The county’s tourism guide is a useful starting point for choosing a village, a garden or a stretch of countryside. Glenarm Castle is another option for a trip built around gardens and heritage. Check its seasonal arrangements before setting out.
Where to spend your time
A coastal base makes sense if the Causeway is your main interest; a stay closer to the glens gives that part of the county more of your day. Sort out dinner and the journey back before heading out. If you are continuing to Donegal, allow a separate connection: the Causeway Coastal Route and the Wild Atlantic Way are different touring routes.
