Wicklow: Glendalough, gardens and a coastal day

Choose a valley visit, a garden afternoon or time in one of Wicklow’s coastal towns.

Glendalough’s history first

Glendalough’s monastic site and visitor centre give a valley visit a historical starting point. Read the official visitor information to understand the interpreted experience and the wider setting. You can make the history the centre of the day, with any walking route chosen separately according to the conditions and the group.

A garden afternoon

Powerscourt House & Gardens offers another kind of Wicklow outing. Check the specific experience you are planning to book, including which spaces are available and how arrival works. Nearby attractions or familiar place names should not be taken to mean that everything has one entrance or admission arrangement.

Time on the coast

Bray and Greystones offer different possibilities for a town-based day. Choose a meal, a browse or time by the sea, and establish the journey home before heading out. If you want to walk between places, check the latest official route notices first. An older photograph or travel article cannot establish that a coastal path is currently open.
