This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage used with Ramble.ie. The publication is operated under licence by IPcom Limited. Questions: admin@ramble.ie.

Reading the publication

Google Analytics 4 is optional and stays blocked until you select Accept analytics. Reject analytics is offered alongside it. We use basic consent: no Google Analytics script or measurement ping is sent before acceptance. We do not use advertising pixels, embedded social feeds, newsletter forms or third-party video embeds. Google Fonts and remote avatars are disabled. Ordinary links do not load the destination inside our pages.

Signing in and editing

Authorised staff use WordPress login and editing facilities. These use cookies to test browser support, maintain an authenticated session and remember requested administration settings. They do not create a public reader account. Security tools may also store short-lived state during a sign-in attempt or record the display of an administration notice. The names and typical durations are listed below; a hash or user number in a name varies by installation or account.

Similar storage

The first-party local-storage key ramble_analytics_choice_v1 remembers your requested privacy choice and expiry for up to 180 days. It is used to honour that choice and does not contain an Analytics identifier. Page-builder storage can also support requested editing features; session storage normally lasts for the tab, while local storage can remain until removed or expired. The publication has no popup targeting or personalised advertising.

Your controls

Use Cookie settings at the bottom of the screen to accept or reject Analytics and to withdraw a previous acceptance. We remember either choice for up to 180 days in this browser, then ask again. On withdrawal we disable further Analytics collection, clear the first-party Analytics cookies and reload to remove its code. You may also remove or block site storage in your browser. Removing login cookies signs staff out; removing administration preferences can reset those settings. If browser storage is unavailable, Analytics stays off unless you accept on that page.

Other websites

After following an outbound link, the destination’s own cookie and privacy practices apply. This includes Craftgifts.ie, an associated marketplace also operated under licence by IPcom Limited. Shopping there is a separate service from reading Ramble.ie.
